Measure What Matters, using Objective Key Results

Greentech Alliance Advisor Ivanka Pashova is offering a free OKR workshop for the Greentech Alliance community on September 14.

OKR stands for Objectives and Key Results. OKR is a popular goal management framework that helps companies implement and execute strategies. The framework’s benefits include a better focus on results that matter, increased transparency, and better (strategic) alignment.

An OKR consists of an Objective, the WHAT do I want to accomplish? The Key Result (the) HOW do I know I’ve achieved it?

The framework includes several rules which help companies prioritize, align, and measure the outcome of their efforts. OKR helps companies bridge the gap between strategy and execution and move from an output- to an outcome-based approach to work.

Don’t miss this great opportunity to advance your management skills!

Carbon Offsetting: The What, the How and the Why of Project Certification

Investors, businesses and institutions alike are increasingly turning to the carbon market to become more sustainable and offset their carbon emissions. Innovation and new technologies have created new opportunities to finance climate action that not only delivers emissions reductions, but economic, health and social benefits too. But how can we know that carbon offsetting projects are effective?

Join our webinar to find out what it means to get your projects certified, why it's important for carbon offsetting and how to achieve it. We'll hear from Bernardo Lazo from Namene Solar, who recently received the Gold Standard certification for their solar lights, and get the carbon-buying perspective from Plan A’s Amy McPherson, a Berlin startup that enables companies to offset their emissions. We'll then discuss technology versus nature-based solutions with expert Johannes Ebeling and answer audience questions.
